# Account Settings

A handful of account-wide preferences — your display name, fiscal calendar, and default currency — are yours to set without waiting on your CorralData team.

***

### Getting there

Click your name in the bottom-left corner, then **Account Settings**.

### What you can change

| Setting           | What it controls                                                                                                        |
| ----------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Display Name | The name shown for your account throughout CorralData. |
| Slug | Used in your account's URLs and integrations. Read-only here — contact <support@corraldata.com> if you need it changed. |
| Fiscal Year Start | The month and day (MM-DD) your fiscal year begins, used anywhere CorralData reports on a fiscal basis. |
| Beginning of Week | Which day your weekly date groupings start on. |
| Default Currency | The currency symbol and formatting used across your boards. |

{% hint style="info" %}
Changes here apply account-wide — every user, every board. Double-check with your team before changing the fiscal year start or beginning of week on an account that's already live, since it can shift how historical periods group on existing widgets.
{% endhint %}

### Where this fits

* This is separate from Add & manage users, which controls who has access to your account and what they can do — Account Settings covers account-wide preferences, not permissions.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.corraldata.com/kb/getting-started/account-settings.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
