Board Filters

Board filters let people narrow what a board shows — by date, location, provider, campaign, or any other dimension — without editing a single widget.

Ask AskCorral to build one for you

You don't need to build filters by hand. Just tell AskCorral (or Claude/ChatGPT, if you've connected the CorralData MCP server) what you want to filter by, and it'll set it up on the board for you:

  • "Add a location filter to the Sales board"

  • "Filter this board by campaign name, using the campaign column in the ad spend table"

  • "Update the date filter on this board to default to the last 30 days"

  • "Remove the provider filter from this board"

AskCorral creates, updates, and removes board filters directly — no need to configure a query or pick options yourself. If you want a filter to apply to specific widgets only, mention that and AskCorral will scope it accordingly.

Prefer to describe what you want in plain language rather than SQL — AskCorral will translate it into the right filter configuration.

How filters work

  • Filters can be static (a fixed list of options you provide) or dynamic (options pulled live from a column in your data).

  • A filter can apply to one board or several.

  • Once added, a filter shows up as a dropdown or control at the top of the board for anyone viewing it.

Removing a filter

Ask AskCorral to remove it, e.g. "Remove the region filter from this board" — or reach out to support@corraldata.com if you'd like help.
